2026 Roadway Improvements
The City of Lakeville completes annual road improvement projects to maintain safe, accessible and reliable streets across the community. The 2026 projects include road repairs, rehabilitation and reconstruction on local and collector streets, trails and parking areas, along with curb, sidewalk, ADA ramp, water system and stormwater improvements. Use the tabs below to learn more about each project planned for the year.
The 2026 Miscellaneous Road Repairs and Overlays Project (City project 26-01) is comprised of approximately 2.5 miles of local and collector streets, .9 miles of local trails and rehabilitation of the Bunker Hill Park parking lot within the City of Lakeville. This project generally includes pavement milling and overlay, partial curb replacement, spot sidewalk replacement, ADA pedestrian ramp updates, watermain corrosion protection and minor storm sewer repairs.

- February 26, 2026: Receive and publicly open bids

Private Features Within City Right-of-Way
- Lawn irrigation or sprinkler systems
- Pet containment systems
- Landscaping and plantings
If you wish to protect private features from damage during construction, please temporarily remove them from the City right-of-way. City staff will mark areas of anticipated excavation with white paint and flagging. See the video below for more details.

The 2026 Street Reconstruction Project is comprised of approximately 0.13 miles of local streets within the City. The project scope includes street reconstruction in the form of reclamation, subgrade excavations as required, new pavement installation, including partial replacement and installation of concrete curb and cutter, installation of corrosion protection on select watermain facilities and stormwater management improvements.

- January 20, 2026: City Council Approves Plans and Specifications
- February 26, 2026: Open bids
- March 3, 2026: Second Stakeholder Meeting Central Maintenance Facility 11 - noon
- April 6, 2026: Assessment hearing and Council considers award of the construction contract
- April 2026: Begin construction
- May 2026: Substantial completion
- June 2026: Final Completion

The 2026 Street Rehabilitation Project is comprised of approximately 5.25 miles of local and collector streets within the City. The project scope includes milling the existing pavement , installation of new pavement overlay, spot/gutter replacement, spot sidewalk replacement, water system enhancements, pedestrian curb ramp reconstruction to meet current ADA guidelines and storm water management best practices requirements.
